The Role
Reporting to the Plant Controller, you will play a critical role in driving the financial performance of the site through centrally managed accounting processes. This hands-on position combines strong financial control with commercial insight, offering full exposure to end-to-end manufacturing finance.
You will be actively involved in planning, reporting, and analysis—owning key inputs into monthly results, mid-month forecasts, business performance insights, and the annual budgeting cycle. Partnering closely with operational stakeholders, you will translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the plant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing mid‑month estimate and month‑end close tasks
- Preparing and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly management reports
- Preparing and analysing financial results, forecasts, and annual budgets
- Ensuring ledgers comply with corporate policies and accounting standards
- Reviewing balance sheets, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions
- Conducting variance analysis and recommending cost optimisation initiatives
- Supporting month‑end and year‑end processes and broader finance projects
What You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business or CA/CPA qualified
- Proven experience in management accounting, ideally in manufacturing or recycling
- Proficiency in SAP and consolidation/reporting tools (Hyperion desirable)
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and problem‑solving
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team environment
- Advanced Excel capability
