The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager-Beverage Can, this role leads Visy’s Beverage Can operations in New Zealand, based at our Wiri site.

This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for site performance across safety, people, production, quality, cost and service. You will lead the site leadership team, set operational direction, and drive a high-performance culture aligned to Visy’s values and business objectives.

You’ll play a critical role in delivering strong commercial outcomes while ensuring operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement across a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing site leadership and operations team
• Drive a strong safety-first culture and ensure full HSE compliance
• Deliver production, quality and service outcomes aligned to customer demand
• Own site financial performance including cost, productivity and margin delivery
• Optimise plant efficiency, reliability and asset utilisation
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across the operation
• Partner with Sales and Supply Chain to deliver strong customer outcomes
• Provide clear reporting, forecasting and performance insights to stakeholders
• Build capability, engagement and accountability across the workforce

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a Plant Manager or senior manufacturing operations leader
• Strong background in high-volume manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong commercial acumen with ownership of cost and performance outcomes
• Strong safety leadership and compliance mindset
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
