 Role Details

Reporting to the National System Infrastructure and DCS Engineer, you’ll be immersed in the design, maintenance, and support of critical Operational Technology infrastructure and network communications equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high system availability, robust security, and seamless data access for our industrial operations.

This hands-on role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies, real-world problem-solving, and the opportunity to contribute to the digitisation of manufacturing systems. You’ll be part of a team that values innovation, resilience, and continuous learning.

 

What you'll do

  • Support and manage Microsoft Windows server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and virtualisation (VMware)
  • Implement and maintain endpoint protection, backups, disaster recovery, and system monitoring
  • Configure and deploy servers and machines from scratch.

Perform hands-on hardware maintenance and OS provisioning, including upgrades and replacements for NICs, RAM, and drives

  • Learn and support proprietary control systems (ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley) and historian systems (OSIsoft PI)
  • Design and manage secure IP networks, including VLANs, firewalls, and DMZ zones
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure system reliability and security
  • Travel to industrial sites across the East Coast to provide on-site support.

 

What you’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology
  • Knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, IP networking, and network security
  • Experience with endpoint security systems (e.g., McAfee VSE, ENS, ePO)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and escalation management
  • Experience on industrial sites
  • Hands-on Operational Technology systems experience (2+ years)
  • Certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CCNA)
  • Exposure to patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM, Chef, Puppet)
  • Familiarity with enterprise backup and historian systems
